GETTING here

The Linda Hall Library is located in midtown Kansas City, Missouri at 5109 Cherry Street . The symposium wil begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Library's Main Reading Room.

Conference attendees are responsible for making their own travel plans, but travel to the metropolitan Kansas City area is very convenient. The Kansas City International Airport is located twenty miles north of downtown Kansas City and is serviced by many airlines. Shuttles, taxis, and limousine services transport travelers to and from the city and major car rental agencies are available at the airport.

THINGS to DO in KANSAS CITY

Kansas City offers cultural attractions, fine restaurants, and plenty of shopping. The Library is located near the Country Club Plaza, a 15-block district with more than 150 shops and dozens of restaurants. Also nearby are the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Kemper Museum of Modern Art, and the Toy and Miniature Museum. Within easy driving distance of the Library are the National World War I Museum, the American Jazz Museum, the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, and the Harry S. Truman Library and Museum.
